About Mindset Coders
Mindset Coders is a Ugandan EdTech organisation building a national STEM talent pipeline through hands-on, competency-based robotics and technology education. At the centre of its innovation ecosystem is RobotBox, an affordable AI-enabled robotics kit designed specifically for low-resource learning environments. The organisation combines robotics hardware, STEM curriculum delivery, teacher enablement, and competitive learning platforms to strengthen practical science and technology education in Uganda.
The venture addresses a major gap within Uganda’s education system where learners are often exposed to theoretical science instruction without opportunities to develop practical, problem-solving, and job-relevant STEM competencies. Mindset Coders delivers an integrated ecosystem that includes robotics kits, coding education, STEM competitions, teacher training, and the World Robot Olympiad Uganda platform. This approach enables learners to engage in experiential learning while exposing them to innovation, engineering, and technology pathways.
RobotBox is designed to operate in low-resource environments, making robotics and AI education more affordable and accessible for schools that traditionally lack STEM infrastructure. The organisation is actively contributing to the development of future STEM talent pipelines by supporting learners from primary through secondary education. Through ecosystem partnerships, school engagement, and hands-on learning experiences, Mindset Coders is helping cultivate a generation of young innovators equipped with practical digital and engineering skills. Its strong focus on experiential learning, localised technology, and future workforce development positions the venture as a key contributor to Uganda’s growing STEM and innovation ecosystem.
