Wokober Education Foundation Ltd

The Wokober Education Foundation is a high-potential Ugandan EdTech and education innovation venture transforming how competency-based learning is implemented in underserved schools. The organisation addresses a major systemic challenge within Uganda’s education sector: while the country has adopted a competency-based curriculum focused on practical and skills-based learning, many schools, particularly in low-income, rural, and post-conflict communities, lack the tools, infrastructure, and teacher support required to implement it effectively.

Wokober positions itself as a learning infrastructure provider rather than a standalone educational programme. Its model combines pedagogy, teacher enablement, materials access, and digital support systems into a scalable ecosystem designed for resource-constrained learning environments.

At the centre of the solution is the Wokober learning approach, a structured project-based STEM learning framework that translates curriculum requirements into hands-on classroom activities. The model includes learner portfolios, competency-aligned assessments, classroom participation systems, and structured session guides optimised for large classroom settings. The venture also operates a community-anchored material supply system that combines locally sourced and recycled materials with WonderBox STEM kits to ensure affordability and contextual relevance.

Complementing this is Wokoverse, an offline-first AI-powered teacher support platform that enables lesson planning, classroom management, learner grouping, continuous assessment, and reporting in low-connectivity environments. Over the past three years, Wokober has evolved from community-based innovation festivals into a scalable education model implemented through structured school partnerships. With growing traction, ecosystem partnerships, and increasing adoption among schools, the venture is positioning itself as a leading contributor to long-term education system transformation and equitable STEM learning access in Uganda.
