Mulmet (Kate-D)

Kate-D is an AI-powered digital learning platform supporting Uganda’s transition toward competency-based education through interactive and curriculum-aligned learning experiences. The venture addresses a critical challenge within Uganda’s education sector where many schools struggle to effectively implement the competency-based curriculum due to limited digital tools, inadequate learning resources, and insufficient teacher support.

Kate-D transforms traditional learning into engaging, competency-driven experiences through games, quizzes, flashcards, puzzles, adaptive assessments, and AI-supported learning pathways. The platform is designed to improve learner engagement, creativity, and practical understanding while enabling teachers to deliver interactive and technology-enabled lessons.

By aligning closely with curriculum objectives, Kate-D supports both learners and educators in transitioning from rote memorisation toward applied learning and competency development. The venture has demonstrated strong traction, recording more than 7,000 downloads, over 2,000 active monthly users, and millions of online engagements across digital platforms. Its growing user base reflects increasing demand for accessible, engaging, and locally relevant educational technologies.
